Welcome back to another puzzle guide. Colony Flow Level 68 brings a fun piece of pixel art to the table. You face a cool pineapple wearing bright pink sunglasses on a solid orange background. I found this level requires careful tray management because of some tricky special tiles blocking your way. Let us dive into the best way to solve it and keep your ants moving.

Colony Flow Level 68 Overview

What You Are Working With

The pixel art picture for this level features a large yellow pineapple with spiky green leaves. The pineapple wears stylish pink and black sunglasses. A massive orange background surrounds the entire fruit shape. You notice a large brown chocolate tile covering the right side of the pineapple face immediately. The chocolate tile displays the number one hundred on it. This chocolate covers and blocks all the food tiles underneath it until you clear it entirely. You also have a golden key resting in the middle of the top green leaves. Down in your tray you find a padlock blocking an entire column of blocks. You must collect the key to open that lock. Your tray also contains several connected boxes linked together by a line. These connected boxes must enter your waiting slots at the exact same time. The board gives you five waiting slots for your pulled blocks.

What It Takes to Clear Level 68 Board

You win the level when the ants eat every single colored tile and the board is completely empty. The core challenge is making sure your waiting slots never jam. If you fill all five waiting slots with blocks that have no open paths to their matching colors you lose the level immediately. You must manage the connected boxes carefully because they instantly consume two slots at once. Breaking the chocolate early is your highest priority. The chocolate requires adjacent tile clears to reduce its number from one hundred down to zero. You must also prioritize feeding the green ants to carve a path to the golden key. Once you unlock the tray you easily sweep up the remaining tiles and finish the level.

Colony Flow Level 68 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Start with the black glasses and the massive orange background

Your first moves need to create space on the board and start damaging the chocolate tile. Pull the black twenty five block to send ants toward the dark frames of the sunglasses. Next you pull the orange twenty five block from the tray. The orange ants stream out of the nest hole and begin devouring the lower corners of the orange background. The orange background touches the massive chocolate tile directly. Every time your orange ants eat an orange tile right next to the chocolate the chocolate takes damage. Getting the orange ants flowing early is crucial to breaking that chocolate down. The background provides a huge surface area so the ants do not face any dead ends. This keeps your waiting slots perfectly clear.

Step 2: Deploy the green and pink blocks to expand your active paths

screenshot

With the black ants working on the glasses frames you pull the green fifteen block and the pink twenty block. The pink ants march toward the bright pink frames of the sunglasses. The green ants head straight for the bottom edges of the top green leaves. You want these ants working simultaneously to clear out the middle section of the board. The board is wide open right now so the ants have plenty of room to maneuver and find their targets. Keeping multiple colors active at the same time prevents any single block from sitting in your waiting slots too long. The pink tiles wrap right around the chocolate tile. Clearing those pink tiles deals even more damage to the chocolate and brings it much closer to breaking.

Step 3: Introduce the first connected blocks to clear the white highlights

screenshot

You see a white block and a yellow block linked together in your tray. Pulling connected boxes means they move into your waiting slots as a pair. Make sure you have at least two empty slots before you tap them so you do not accidentally jam your tray. The white ants rush in to eat the bright white reflections on the sunglasses and the lower body of the pineapple. The yellow ants start munching on the main yellow fruit body. By this point the continuous adjacent matches from the orange and pink ants shatter the chocolate completely. The heavy brown tile breaks and disappears entirely. This reveals the hidden yellow and pink tiles on the right side of the pineapple face. Your yellow ants now have a massive open area to eat.

Step 4: Push hard into the green leaves to reach the golden key

Look closely at your tray and notice a block carrying a gold padlock. You cannot use the blocks under it until you unlock that specific padlock. The key sits right in the middle of the green leaves at the very top of the pineapple. Pull your next green blocks from the tray to send fresh waves of ants into those leaves. The green twelve block and the green twenty block provide plenty of ants to chew through the dense foliage. Your green ants slowly carve a path upward and eventually reach the exact tile holding the key. Once they eat that tile the key flies down to the tray and opens the lock. This action completely frees up that stuck column.

Step 5: Release the locked blocks and clear the yellow fruit body

screenshot

Now that the lock is gone you gain access to a fresh black twenty five block and more green blocks. The tray also gives you several sets of connected yellow boxes. Pull the connected yellow fourteen blocks into your waiting slots. The yellow fruit body is now fully exposed since the chocolate is long gone. The yellow ants swarm the center of the board and clear out the huge chunk of fruit. Your waiting slots get a little crowded here because connected boxes take up extra space. Just make sure the yellow ants have an unbroken path to their target tiles before you pull them. The yellow ants quickly drain the numbers on their blocks and free up your slots again.

Step 6: Use the remaining orange blocks to clear the top roof border

screenshot

The top section of the orange background looks like a solid orange roof hovering over the pineapple leaves. Pull the orange twenty five and orange twenty three blocks to handle this large area. The orange ants stream up the extreme left and right sides of the board and wrap around the top border. The orange background is large enough to absorb multiple high numbered blocks without ever dead ending. This is exactly why you save some orange blocks for the late stage of the game. They provide a safe reliable place to dump large numbers while you organize your smaller remaining blocks. The ants eat away the roof and leave the pineapple completely isolated.

Step 7: Mop up the black outlines and the final leaf details

screenshot

Your black blocks target the dark outlines separating the individual green leaves. Send your remaining black twenty five block to finish this detailed job. The black ants weave through the remaining green and yellow tiles to eat the dark borders. At the same time you pull your final green blocks to finish the very top spiky tips of the leaves. Keep a very close eye on your waiting slots during this cleanup phase. Only pull a block if you see its matching color clearly visible and physically reachable on the board. You do not want to fail the level right at the end by pulling a color that has no open path.

Step 8: Finish the remaining yellow and pink tiles to complete the level

The final moments of the level leave just a few scattered pink tiles from the glasses and a few white highlight tiles. You have a white twenty five block and a pink fifteen block waiting at the very back of your tray. Pull them to send out your final waves of ants from the nest hole. They easily march up the empty board and reach the isolated tiles in the center. Watch as the numbers on the blocks count down to zero. Once the last white and pink tiles disappear the ants finish their paths and return. The entire pixel art picture clears out completely and you win the level.

Final Thought

Colony Flow Level 68 is all about breaking the chocolate early and timing your push for the golden key. Managing the connected boxes is the only real danger to your waiting slots. Take your time and plan your pulls carefully so you never block your ants. Please watch the video above this article if any step gives you trouble or if you need to see the exact timing of the moves.
