Colony Flow Level 7 brings a cute pixel art penguin to the board for you to solve. You face a solid mix of colors tightly packed together in this puzzle shape. I will guide you through the exact moves to dismantle this bird without filling up your waiting slots. This level tests your ability to carve a path through a hard outer shell to reach the bulk of the tiles hidden inside. I play every level myself to find the safest route and you must balance the order of colors perfectly here to keep the ants moving.
Colony Flow Level 7 Overview
What You Are Working With
The pixel art picture for this level is a large penguin sitting right in the middle of the open board. The penguin features a thick dark purple outline that wraps almost entirely around its body and head. Inside this dark purple border you will find a massive white belly and face section that takes up most of the space. The wings on the sides and the top of the head consist of bright light blue tiles. Finally you have a few yellow tiles that make up the two feet at the very bottom and the small beak in the center of the face. Your tray at the bottom of the screen holds a massive pile of numbered blocks matching these exactly four colors. You have huge white blocks with numbers like 50 and 48 sitting alongside dark purple 20 blocks. The board features five empty waiting slots positioned directly above the tray.
Level 7 Objective
You must pull colored blocks from the bottom tray into the five waiting slots to spawn your working ants. The ants stream out of the nest hole and march up the board to eat the pixel art tiles that match their block color. Every time an ant eats a tile the number on the block counts down by one single digit. The block completely disappears from the waiting slot when the number hits zero. Your ultimate goal is to clear the entire penguin picture from the board. You lose the level immediately if you fill all five waiting slots with blocks that have no clear path to their matching color tiles on the board.
Colony Flow Level 7 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Break through the bottom dark purple outline
The penguin sits heavily on the bottom of the board protected by a solid dark purple border. You cannot reach the huge white belly until you smash a physical hole in this bottom shell. Pull a dark purple 20 block into your waiting slots to start the clearing process. The dark purple ants will pour out of the nest hole and march straight up to the bottom feet area. They will eat away the boundary tiles and carve a gap right up the middle of the shape. You must create this opening first so your other colors have a direct route inside the bird. If you pull a white block before making this hole the block will jam your slot.
Step 2: Flood the lower white belly with large blocks
Once the dark purple ants break the bottom seal you have a direct path to the massive white section. The white belly is the absolute largest single area on the board. Look at your tray and pull the massive white 50 block along with a white 29 block. The white ants will flood through the gap you just created and spread out across the lower half of the penguin. The numbers on these huge blocks will count down incredibly fast because the ants have a massive surface area to attack. Keep the white blocks coming to hollow out the core of the bird.
Step 3: Manage the tray and maintain the dark purple assault
While the white ants eat the belly you must keep the outer border shrinking. The tray contains several more dark purple blocks like a 12 and an 18. Pull one of these into the waiting slots alongside your active white blocks. The dark purple ants will wrap around the bottom corners and start eating up the left and right sides of the penguin outline. Doing this simultaneously prevents the dark purple tiles from trapping the light blue wings later on. You always want at least one dark purple block active in your slots to keep the border retreating from the bottom up.
Step 4: Continue feeding white blocks to clear the face
The white section extends far up into the face of the penguin around the eyes. You need to pull more white blocks like the 17 and the 48 from the tray to keep the momentum going. The white ants will march straight up the middle of the board and consume the entire face. You must clear this inner core completely so the side wings become exposed. Watch the numbers count down and always have another white block ready to drop into a slot the moment one finishes. This constant flow prevents any dead end situations.
Step 5: Unleash the light blue ants on the wings
The white ants will eventually clear enough of the belly and face to expose the inner edges of the light blue wings. You can now safely introduce the light blue blocks from your tray. Pull a light blue 20 block and a light blue 18 block into the empty slots. The light blue ants will march past the empty belly space and attack the wings on both sides of the penguin at the same time. The board is incredibly busy right now but your slots remain safe because every ant has a wide open path.
Step 6: Target the small yellow details in the center
The middle of the board opens up completely once the white face and belly disappear. The only things left in the lower half are the yellow feet and the yellow beak. These sections are tiny and require the yellow 5 blocks from your tray. Pull the yellow blocks now that the surrounding white and blue tiles are totally out of the way. The yellow ants will race up the board and devour the beak and feet in seconds. You should never pull these yellow blocks early because they will just sit in your slots and cause a deadly jam.
Step 7: Attack the massive light blue head
With the belly and wings gone the only major section left is the top curve of the penguin head. This area consists entirely of light blue tiles wrapped in a dark purple border. Pull the remaining light blue blocks like the 15 and 16 from the bottom tray. The light blue ants will swarm up the empty board and hit the flat bottom edge of the head. They will eat their way straight up toward the top curve. You can pull multiple light blue blocks at once here because the entire width of the head is exposed.
Step 8: Clear the final dark purple boundary tiles
The light blue ants will finish the body and leave just a thin strip of dark purple outline at the very top of the board. You will have a few small dark purple blocks left in your tray. Pull these final blocks into your waiting slots to finish the job. The dark purple ants will make the long trek up to the top of the screen and eat the remaining border tiles. Once the last tile vanishes the picture is completely cleared and you win the level safely.
Overall Strategy to Clear Level 7 Board
- Focus on the bottom dark purple outline first to create a safe entry point. The dark purple border surrounds almost the entire penguin picture. You absolutely cannot reach the massive white belly until you break the bottom purple tiles. Always keep a purple block active early on to keep the paths open.
- Manage the massive white blocks carefully to avoid early slot jams. You have huge white blocks in the tray including a 50 and a 48. Never pull these large blocks until you have a wide open path to the belly. If you pull them too early they will sit in your slots permanently and cause a loss.
- Delay pulling the yellow blocks until the face and feet are completely exposed. The yellow feet and beak are very small tile groups trapped inside other colors. Wait until the surrounding white and blue tiles are completely gone before you touch the yellow 5 blocks in the tray.
- Balance your light blue and dark purple pulls to clear the top head evenly. As you reach the final stages of the puzzle the head requires both colors at the same time. Feed a mix of light blue and dark purple blocks into the slots so the ants eat the inner fill and the outer shell together.
- Work the puzzle from the bottom up to shorten the travel distance. The ants spawn at the bottom hole on the board. Clearing the bottom feet and lower belly first gives the ants a much shorter travel distance. This speeds up the clearing process and gets blocks out of your waiting slots faster.
Final Thought
Colony Flow Level 7 is incredibly satisfying once you understand how to peel away the outer border and flood the middle. Take your time and make sure you never trap a huge block in your slots without a clear path. I highly encourage you to watch the video above this article if any step is hard to follow in text. Seeing the ants move in real time makes the whole strategy click perfectly.
